UI/UX Designer

Contract - Long Term with potential to hire

FULLY REMOTE

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software, low to high fidelity prototyping, and wireframe tools e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, InVision etc. Ideally, if you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes insights and working with Revit/Autodesk add-ins/applications/software or within the architectural and design space, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Manager, Sales and marketing to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Work collaboratively with developer(s) to design and adapt proposed design to any development limitations
• Develop intuitive and user centered designs
• Execute/Review visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development team
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Create user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Create fresh, innovative and inspiring visuals that push UXUI designs of our Revit add-ins/plugins and software to the next level
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Sr. Product manager and Product team
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Bring your designs to life and help us test and learn quicker by UI mockups and interactive prototypes that clearly illustrate how application/software will look
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct usability testing, user and design research
• Conduct competitor and customer analysis
• Analyze user feedback and behavior and iterate to enhance existing user experience/interface designs
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback and review of analytics
• Conduct UXUI reviews with developer(s) to ensure adherence to UX/UI design specifications
• Develop and adhere to branding and graphic elements incl. style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Collaborate with other UXUI designers on the team
• Assist in creating a library and design system for digital software and services being created

Requirements:

• Understand best in class design principles
• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer
• Previous experience working with/for architects/interior designers is preferred.
• Portfolio of design projects; including but not limited to developing Revit Autodesk applications, plug-ins or software
• Understand graphic design, visual design, human behavior/psychology
• Previous experience developing applications and software for other manufacturers within the construction/build space is preferred
• Knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools
• Up-to-date knowledge of prototyping and design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision and Figma
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good time-management skills
